Santa Clara Fair NewsA Very Nice Opening Day The weather was perfect, the crowds larger than expected, and Friday promises even more reasons to come on out to the 2011 Santa Clara County Youth Fair.
The Santa Clara County Youth Fair bottomed out in 2008: Staring closure in the face, the fair shrunk from Ferris wheels and cotton candy to 4-H'ers and farm animals but has rebounded each year to celebrate another summer -- like it will again, beginning Thursday. This year, the carnival rides are back.
"It's not just called the Santa Clara County Youth Fair, truly the Fair is a magical world for kids" explained Delana Romero, Fair Manager. She went on "The Fair has exciting (don't tell them they are safe) rides, a chance to get up close and personal with everything from a huge steer to a cute bunny, funny little cowboys on funny little horses, even hands on musical instruments"
More, Bigger, Better - The 2011 Santa Clara Youth Fair "Well we definitely have more. More livestock in our new very cool indoor livestock barn, more vendors, more rides in the carnival, even more days of fun" offered Delana Romero, Fair Manager. The more days referes to the addition of a fourth day of Fairtime fun. Romero added "We open Thursday, August 4th and run through Sunday the 7th. And getting into the Fair on Thursday and Friday is free. Free parking and free admission.
